Celia Rose was
born in San Francisco, she became a California State Licensed Cosmetologist
in the late 1970’s.Celia’s most desired goal was
to specialize in skin care.
She attended The Christine Valmy
International Institute of Advanced Esthetics
located at 77 Maiden
Lane San Francisco CA in the early 1980’s.
The only European aesthetician training institute in the west coast,
the other
being Christine Valmy in New York.
Celia Rose decided to also train in France,
as she realized that Union Square area
was totally made up of European Aestheticians
at this time.
In 1982 she was hired by the Christine Valmy Institute in S.F.
to be an Instructor and Aesthetician
in the Christine Valmy
Salon.
In a short time she accomplished becoming Assistant Director of the institute,
and excelled as an aesthetician in the salon. Celia then took her teaching ability
a step further by going back to school and becoming a State Licensed Cosmetology
Instructor, taught advanced skin care classes to the Senior departments at Marinello’s
Beauty College and Zenzi’s Beauty College.
Also having a medical background in her early 20’s she had now become a
valuable
Aesthetician and Instructor.
The European cosmetic product line
Sothys of Paris had launched their first campaign in the U.S.A. Having
become interested in her former training and extensive experience in
the skin care field she was hired by the Sothys U.S.A. Team and completely
trained by Sothys.
This
included intense knowledge of all the latest high tech treatments that
Paris was producing at this time, also, chemistry and product ingredients
classes had to be attended for each individual product
within the line.
She
became one of their most sought after Aestheticians, Instructor, and
sales representatives, of Sothys U.S.A.Under the excellent guidance
of Alexander Desi the first distributor for the Sothys Corp. and
the first founders of European skin care treatments in S.F.and
the West Coast.
Celia Rose opened her own Sothys Salon in 1986 at
116 Maiden Lane were she performed a full range of esthetical services,
deep pore cleansing and a wide array of special skin care treatments
for all skin types, this is her forte till present time.
In 1994 she moved her business to European Skin Care Salon on Geary
St. S.F. Joining back with her friends from the Christine Valmy Salon
where they had all met 15 years earlier. Here she continued paying
meticulous attention to her clients individual skin care needs and
insuring that each client received the best experience and results
with every visit, also continued attending seminars for up to date
advances in the skin care field.
In 1995 Celia Rose also started working with
Cosmetic Physicians she was hired as Medical Aesthetician a new field
that had opened up to meet the now growing interest in medical cosmetic
treatments.
Celia worked with the first Microdermabrasion machine to come out
on the market for Physicians and to assist in all the new chemical
peels which where becoming so popular for aging skin, acne,
scarring
and pigmentation problems.
She now incorporates all of these techniques
according to her clients skin care needs
at her new salon at 47 Kearny
St. 6th floor in San Francisco.
After 25 years Celia Rose remains still as passionate
about her profession and her clients needs as when she started. Her
warm, nurturing, caring, personality has given her a wonderful satisfied
repeat clientele.
